Iran claims to destroy many American military aircraft deployed in Jordan

On 17 July, local time, the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps issued a statement stating that the United States forces, using their bases in Jordan on the evening of 16 July, had attacked civilian targets in southern Iran, including several bridges, residential areas and a water pumping station at Abbas port. In response, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps launched attacks on United States military fighter aircraft and refuelling aircraft deployed in Jordan in two phases, using multiple ballistic missiles and multiple drones. The operation destroyed a number of United States military refuelling and fighter aircraft and caused serious damage to a large number of them. (In Russian)
