Iran Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps: destruction of several American military aircraft

On 17 July, the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps issued a statement stating that, in response to the attack by United States forces on civilian targets in southern Iran the previous night, the Revolutionary Guard Corps had launched ballistic missiles and drones in two phases, destroying a number of United States military refuelling and fighter aircraft. The statement states that the United States military base in Jordan was used in the night of 16 days to attack a number of civilian targets in the port of Abbas in southern Iran, including bridges, residential areas and a pumping station. The statement did not mention the specific time when the Revolutionary Guards had launched a counter-attack. According to several Iranian media outlets, including Tasnim News Agency, on the night of the 16th, United States forces attacked the infrastructure of airports, bridges and railway stations in southern Iran on the same day, causing numerous deaths and injuries。
