Cardano will transfer control of core software to an external team starting in August

On 18 July, the Cardano Development Corporation, Input Output, will transfer control of key block-chain components, such as Haskel node, the Plutus platform and the Daedalus wallet, from August to outside professional teams as part of a multi-year decentrization drive. Independent companies such as Se7en Labs and Teragone will be responsible for some of the core infrastructure. At least three Cardano versions will be maintained in Haskell, Rust and Go languages and will be subject to community supervision and formal regulation. Cardano is currently facing a weak Internet presence and a sharp drop in the price of ADA coins. Charles Hoskinson, the founder, defined the restructuring and ecosystem-related setbacks as a necessary “growth pain” in the move towards complete decentrization。
