Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Iran: United States attack in grave breach of the Memorandum of Understanding

On 8 July, the Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Iran, Garibabadi local time, stated in social media on 8 July that the lifting of the United States exemption from Iran ' s oil sales sanctions constituted a serious violation of article 10 of the memorandum of understanding between the United States and Iraq. The subsequent United States military action against Iran also constitutes a serious violation of articles 1 and 2 of the Memorandum. Garibabadi said that the United States had repeatedly violated the relevant provisions of the memorandum of understanding over the past three weeks as a result of Israeli actions in Lebanon and threatening statements against Iran.
