American men stole $220,000 in encryption assets from malicious software planted in Steam

The United States federal prosecution indicted Zyair Wilkins, a 21-year-old man from Florida, for embedding malicious software in eight games, including Blackblasts, Chemia, Dashverse, DashFPS, Lammy, Lunara, PirateFi and Tokenova, between May 2024 and February 2026, and spreading it through Steam, resulting in the infection of about 8,000 devices and the theft of about 80 encrypted wallets, involving over $220,000. The FBI has secured the identity of suspects through the chain of money flows and the Bitrefil gift card purchase records, and the case is currently being prosecuted in the United States Federal District Court for the Western District of Washington。
