The U.S. Department of State recommends a global level of vigilance on the part of American citizens

On 19 July, the United States Department of State launched a global security alert on its official website, recommending that United States citizens on a global scale be vigilant. It was recalled that the security environment remained complex and that there was a potential for unintended escalation as tensions in the Middle East increased. United States citizens around the globe, especially in the Middle East region, should be vigilant about news to keep abreast of the latest developments.
