Kimi announced a 228 per cent increase in the minimum annual fee threshold for web pages and programming by splitting its Code into separate sales. The new membership system splits members, which originally included web pages, app and Kimi Code, into generic membership and programming plans, for which users will have to pay separately in the future. On an annual basis, the old Andante membership fee was $468, while the minimum portfolio cost for the new system was $1536, and the threshold for entry was 3.28 times. The changes in pure programming users are more complex, with the new Starter and the old Moderato costing 99 a month, but no longer include web pages and app entitlements. The monthly payment threshold rose by about 50 per cent from $199 in the old Allegretto to $299 in the new Explorer, if a high-speed version and 1 million context were required.
