Ministry of Industry and Communications: guidance will be issued on the construction of a system of algorithms to facilitate the establishment of standards such as market-based pricing of computing

On 20 July, the Press Office of the State Council held a press conference on developments in industry and information in the first half of 2026. The press spokesman of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the Director of the Information and Communication Technology Development Division stated that over the past two years, more than 70 large power channels had been built around the national computing hub nodes, and the network performance of the related power nodes had increased by 10 per cent. The current explosive growth of large artificial intelligence models and intelligent body applications has led to a growing need for intelligent computing. In the next step, the Ministry will continue to optimize the deployment of computing infrastructure resources along points, chains, networks, surfaces and systematization lines, and will create computer connectivity nodes to increase efficiency in the use of computing resources. In terms of point-to-point capacity, it will optimize the deployment of power-supply resources, integrate industrial development and energy supply factors, promote the development of smart-counting clusters and computing synergies, create a downgrading of power layouts and strengthen integrated computing monitoring. In addition, guidance will be issued for the construction of a system of calculus standards, which will facilitate the establishment of standards such as the assessment of the capacity of the calculator service, and the pricing of the calculus market.
