The Al-Houthi forces have indicated that a ban on maritime navigation will be imposed on Saudi Arabia on Monday
On 20 July, Yemeni Al-Houthi forces issued an official statement on 20 July, local time, announcing a ban on maritime navigation against Saudi Arabia in response to what they termed the Saudi “unjust and brutal blockade and aggression”. The declaration was issued by the Yemeni armed forces and entered into force from the time it was issued. It refers to the religious classics and refers to the total blockade of Yemen's ports, airports and land ports imposed by Saudi Arabia for nearly 12 years, claiming that they “have no rights or humanitarian grounds” and causing “unaffordable suffering” to the Yemeni people. The statement also alleged that the recent Saudi attack on Sana'a International Airport was “a flagrant act of aggression in flagrant breach of trust”. Kim Xian
