Iran claims a three-stage attack on United States military targets in Bahrain and Kuwait

On 20 July, local time, the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps issued a statement stating that in the 23rd wave, code-named “Viction 2”, there had been a heavy blow in three phases against the American forces in the region. The statement states that, in the first phase, Iran attacked and destroyed the U.S. drone maintenance and repair facility at the Al-Sakir airbase in Bahrain; in the second phase, Iran attacked targets at the port of Salman in Bahrain; and in the third phase, Iran attacked the facilities at the Arif Zhan United States military base in Kuwait. The statement states that the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has continued to launch heavy attacks using a large number of missiles and drones in “reprisals for the associated United States military operations”.
