Celsius' two co-founders paid more than $6 million to FTC for the settlement

The co-founders of Celsius, Shlomi Daniel Leon and Hanoch “Nuke” Goldstein, were asked to pay more than $6 million to the United States Federal Trade Commission (FTC) in order to reconcile the allegations of misleading the platform's security. United States District Judge Denise Cote ordered Hanoch “Nuke” Goldstein to pay $20.14 million and Shlomi Daniel Leon $4.1 million. FTC accused Celsius of falsely promoting reserves, insurance and loan policies. Celsius held $25 million in assets and owed the user $47 million when applying for bankruptcy. The relevant order prohibits both persons from marketing or selling specific encrypted money products or services。
