Russian State Duma advanced the digital currency bill and sent it to Putin for signature

On 21 July, the Russian State Duma adopted Act No. 114918-8, which gives the country the first complete legal framework for encrypted currency, treating digital assets as property and prohibiting them from being used for daily payments. According to the Russian newspaper, the law was approved by the legislator in the second and third reading, entitled “Digital currency and digital rights”。
