THE AAI DEVELOPER ORO REVEALED THAT KOREAN HACKERS STOLE $630,000 WORTH OF ENCRYPTED CURRENCY

On 22 July, Protos reported that ORO, an AI shopping agent, had disclosed that it had lost approximately $630,000 as a result of suspected hacking. The attackers sent a counterfeit Microsoft Teams link to ORO employees through the invading Telegram account, inducing the installation of malicious expansions, and stole 147,000 Alpha coins on 13 July after stealing data for almost a month. ORO is highly convinced that the attack came from the Korean hacker organization Sapphire Sleet. ORO also admitted that it had a security oversight - because of insufficient support for the hardware wallet under the Bittensor agreement, the company “for the time being” set the owner's key as a software wallet, contrary to the internal principle of priority of the hardware wallet, which led to the theft of the key from the computer that had been invaded. ORO indicated that it was pursuing stolen assets with the exchange, law enforcement and Bittensor ecological partners and stressed that its sub-network was fully operational and that other wallets, user data and the signatory signature key were unaffected。
