The U.S. House of Representatives passed an interim allocation bill to avoid a pre-middle-election suspension of government

On 22 July, the United States House of Representatives passed an Interim Government Allocation Bill on Tuesday, which will provide financial support to all federal government agencies until after the mid-November elections. The Government grant, which is currently due to expire on 30 September, was adopted by 220 votes in favour and 205 against, extending the allocation until 4 December, largely in line with party positions. The Republican party high-level in the House of Representatives hopes that the advance push for this allocation will lead the Democrats to be passive in the upcoming government spending dispute, earlier than this fall. The Republican Party plans to highlight the voting records of the Democrats against federal government funding during the midterm election campaign.
