Upbit added Zilliqa to the transaction watch list

On July 22, the Korean encryption trading platform Upbit announced that Zilliqa token ZIL had been added to the " Transaction Alert" asset list, involving ZIL/KRW and ZIL/BTC transactions. Upbit states that, under the relevant provisions of the Korean Virtual Asset User Protection Act, the Platform has found that ZIL wallets or the distributed ledgers on which they are issued, transmitted, stored may have the risk of a security incident such as an unidentified or unrehabilitated hacker attack and may cause damage to users, and has therefore taken risk warning measures. The announcement indicates that the ZIL transaction notice period is 22 July to 3rd week of August 2026, i.e. 17 to 21 August. During the audit, Upbit will assess the risks associated with the termination policy based on transactional support and may extend the observation period, lift the warning or terminate transactional support. In addition, the ZIL charge and cash withdrawal services had previously been suspended. Upbit indicated that in the future, if services were to be reinstated, priority would be given only to the recovery of the cashier ' s function, and that the restoration of the full value service would be notified further on the basis of the results of the follow-up review. The current additional value will not reach the account and the related full value transaction will be returned。
