Belet, Coinbase, Strategy and others jointly formed the Bitcoin Security Alliance, which committed $15 million over three years

On July 23, several leading financial and encryption agencies jointly announced the formation of the Bitcoin Security Consortium, which is committed to supporting the long-term security and resilience of the Bitcoin network, with its founding members committed to a total of $15 million over the next three years. Founding members cover various components of the Bitcoin ecology, including: BlackRock, Ark Invest, Anchorage Digital, Block, Blockstream, Coinbase, Fuda Digital Assets, Galaxy and Strategy. The daily work of the Alliance is coordinated by Mike Schmidt, Executive Director of Brink, as a volunteer. The funds will be used mainly to fund developers and researchers in the field of security in Bitcoin, one of the priority directions of which is to counter quantum code technology, and to pre-grow the Bitcoin response to future quantum calculation threats. In addition, the Alliance will serve as an authoritative source of information for investors and the public on the progress of security in Bitcoin. The Alliance has made it clear that it does not control or dominate the development of the Bitcoin agreement, does not take a position on specific changes, provides resources only to support and raise public awareness, and follows the industry ' s traditional model of support for open source software. Robert Mitchnick, Global Digital Asset Manager, Belet, stated that Alliance funds would provide additional support to the critical work of Bitcoin Core developers。
