The United States announced the entry into force of an additional 10 to 12.5 per cent tariff on dozens of countries and territories at United States Eastern Time 24
On 24 July, the United States Trade Representative's Office issued a communiqué announcing that, under section 301 of the Trade Act 1974, duties of 10 to 12.5 per cent would be imposed on dozens of countries and territories in the name of so-called “forced labour” to replace the global import duty that was due to expire. The new tariffs will enter into force at 24 hours east of the United States。
