World Foundation sells $52.5 million for WLD to accelerate the roll-out of World ID
The World Foundation, the foundation behind the World Project, raised $52.5 million for the strategic sale of WLD tokens, all of which were in lockouts for a year. The current round of “first round” was led by Pantera Capital, with the participation of Bain Capital Cripto, Eightco Holdings (NASDAQ code: ORBS), Selini Capital, Susquehanna Crypto and others. According to the Foundation, the WLD sold in this sale is only for internal use by World Network and does not represent an equity or profit right in Tools for Humanity. The funds will be used to expand the World ID technology for businesses, individuals and AI Agent, which is now connected to platforms such as Zoom, Docusign, Okta, Vercel and Tinder, with a cumulative over 390 million people joining the network, of whom more than 18 million complete the Orb reality。
