Chief Economist, European Central Bank: the United States is not a dominant force in international trade

On 25 July, the Chief Economist of the European Central Bank, Lynn, commented on the new tariffs imposed by the United States on some trading partners, saying that the European economy was largely supported by domestic demand and that trade between Europe and the United States was important but “not the dominant issue”. According to Lynn, “the United States is not the dominant force in international trade”, Europe trades around the world, not just the United States. Kim Xian
