Iran says the passage capacity in the Straits of Hormuz has been restored to 50% before the war

On 9 July, according to Radio and Television of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy issued a statement stating that the Strait of Hormuz had gradually been opened by the Iraqi side over the past two weeks and that access capacity had now been restored to about 50 per cent of pre-war levels. The statement stated that the Navy of the Revolutionary Guard Corps was continuing to improve the ability of ships to move. The vessels in question are subject to the safety requirements of the Iraqi side, are to be transported through the line designated by Iran and apply for permission from the Revolutionary Guard Navy。
