Lido: The team is working on today ' s stETH gain recalculation bias event, with no risk to user assets
On 26 July, Lido wrote on platform X that the development team was in the process of quelling the anomalies arising from today ' s revaluation of the benefits of stETH, which had been reported by the Protocol Accounting Forecaster. This revaluation shows an annualized rate of return of only 2.04 per cent compared to the expected value of 2.15 per cent. The deviation was not caused by the certificationer ' s forfeiture, and there was no risk to the user ' s assets, as a result of the fact that a group of 32 certifiers in a state pending confirmation had pledged ETH not to be included in the statistics. Developers have repeatedly checked the prognosis machine to report the total balance of all Lido certifiers at the time and later on in the Taifung Consensus layer, and have found no evidence of a risk to the assets. The user is not required to perform any operations. The team is currently looking into the root causes of the problem; after the rehabilitation programme is on the line, the next round of the reappraisal of benefits will account for this small number of assets. Once the underlying incentive has been identified, the official will issue a full briefing。
