Binance conducted monthly red team tests on staff, repeatedly failed or dismissed

On 26 July, the Chief Security Officer of Binance, Jimmy Su, indicated that a monthly team of red team tests were conducted within Binance to assess staff ' s overall security awareness. Test scenarios include impersonating recruiters, sending free meeting invitations and inducing staff to submit personal information. Staff who fail to pass the test are required to undergo corrective training and the results of the test are also included in the performance appraisal; in the event of multiple serious failures, the employee may face dismissal. Note: Red Team Tests (Red Team Testing or Red Teaming) are a security assessment method for simulated real attackers and are used primarily to test the overall defence capability of an organization, system, network or person in the face of an advanced and continuing threat.
