Supreme Leader of Iran: Supporting Hezbollah and demanding a complete end to Israeli military operations against Lebanon

On 27 July, Iranian Supreme Leader Mujtaba Khamenei local time, on the evening of 26 July, responded to a letter from Lebanese Hezbollah leader Naim Qasim and his armed men. In response, it was stated that, in the current situation in the region, Hezbollah in Lebanon was the main resistance to Israel and its supporters and had become an important source of inspiration against hegemonicism and its agents around the world. In response, it was stated that Hizbullah could continue to rely not only on its armed elements but also on the support of the Lebanese population, particularly in the south. Mujtaba reiterated that support for Hezbollah in Lebanon has become a strategic policy for Iran, along the lines established by the late Iranian Supreme Leader Khamenei. He stated that Iran would maintain the territorial integrity of Lebanon and complete and unconditional termination of Israeli military operations against Lebanon as the first condition for a memorandum of understanding with the United States to end the conflict. Mujtaba also stated that the peoples of the world could no longer endure the “mongerment and atrocities” of the United States and Israel and stated that they would continue to adhere to the path of resistance.
