Meta confirmed to push the Harness tool and the open source model is on its way

Alexander Wang, Chief Executive Officer of Meta, stated at YC Startup School 2026 that the company would launch its own Harness tool and continue to publish open source models. Harness is the Agent operating framework wrapped outside the model, like Claude Code. It is responsible for accessing tools, reading and writing documents and managing the context, so that the model can continue to perform complex tasks. Meta planned a new open source component in April this year。
