HSBC plans to recruit more than 100 AI experts in Singapore
On 27 July, HSBC planned to recruit more than 100 artificial intelligence specialists in Singapore, and HSBC plans to establish a global centre for artificial intelligence in Singapore later this year. HSBC stated in a statement on Monday that the Singapore Centre would focus first and foremost on the roll-out of funds management solutions with operational autonomy and the development of digital payment functions to support artificial intelligence. These experts will work with the HSBC Chief Artificial Intelligence Officer, David Rice, as well as with teams in areas such as wealth management and global payment solutions. HSBC indicated that the Centre aims to establish a pool of talent that covers natural language processing, data science and artificial intelligence governance, and will work with educational institutions and government departments in Singapore。
