BITCOIN BIP-110 MANDATORY SIGNAL WINDOW OPENED FOR LESS THAN TWO WEEKS, WITH A CURRENT SUPPORT RATE OF APPROXIMATELY 2.64 PER CENT
On 28 July, the Bitcoin BIP-110 mandatory signal window will be open at block 961632, which is expected to be around 9 August 2026. As at 27 July, 8,40 (EDT), with a chain height of 95,9842, there were approximately 1,790 blocks remaining, with a BIP-110 signal support rate of approximately 2.64 per cent. The BIP-110 official name is Reduced Data Temporary Softfork and proposes to limit the size of some data fields in bitcoin transactions, mainly for the Ordinals class, large OP RETURN payloads and similar high data volume applications. If activated, the restriction will enter into force on block 965664 and automatically expire after 52416 blocks for about one year. Current signal support comes mainly from Ocean, independent miners and small operators, and major mines such as Foundry, Antpool, ViaBT and F2pool have not yet been turned to support. Foundry has requested the client to vote on average, and only if the “support” vote exceeds 51 per cent of the participation in the weighted calculation will the mine pool switch all blocks to support the signal. If the current signal level continues to block 961632, the implementation of the BIP-110 node will reject blocks that do not send a version bit 4 and follow a few that send a signal. The non-upgraded nodes will continue to accept blocks that send signals and those that do not and follow the chain of highest proof of cumulative workload。
