The company disclosed that Bitmine purchased an additional 52,203 ETH on 22 June, with a turnover of approximately $9 million. Upon completion of the purchase, the total number of ETH held by the company rose to approximately 5.67 million, representing 4.7 per cent of the supply in the form of the utensils, only 0.3 percentage points below the internal target of 5 per cent.
Funding continues to support growth
Bitmine states that the ongoing buy-in of ETH is partly from prior completed priority equity financing. The company has raised $273.8 million for the subsequent ETH accumulation through the issuance of permanent priority shares in series A with interest of 9.50 per cent.
Tom Lee, chairman of the company, stated that the company would remain stable and growing in 2026. Although the purchase of $9.0 million was less than twice earlier, the overall direction of expansion remained unchanged.
The pledge is over 4.7 million.
On the hold-up structure, Bitmine is not only holding ETH waiting for price increases. According to the company, 4,718,677 ETH had entered the pledge, accounting for over 83 per cent of the total hold, and the assets operated through its MAVAN pledge platform and partner.
The corresponding annualized revenue for this portion of the pledge business is approximately $223 million, according to the current level of revenues disclosed by the company. If all ETH completes the pledge, the annualized income is estimated to rise to approximately $268 million at the BMNR rate of 2.73 per cent.

Base size is second only to Strategy
By comparison, Bitmine currently has an enterprise-encrypted asset reserve that is second only to Strategy, led by Michael Saylor. The latter also disclosed an increase in bitcoin this week, but the addition was significantly smaller than the amount of Bitmine's current ETH buy-in.
Bitmine's approach is different from that of a mere currency company. The model is to expand the ETH hold and then generate cash gains through pledge and to use this income to support priority share dividends and subsequent financing. If the company continues to buy at its current pace, its ETH hold will be further close to 5 per cent of the amount in circulation by the Taifeng.
