NASDAQ is putting a core stock market data product into block-chain infrastructure. It stated that the TotalView data would be distributed through the Pyth Data Marketplace so that institutional users and developers could no longer rely solely on traditional terminals or specialized lines and could access the data in a programmable manner.
Access to Pyth data market
This time on line is TotalView. It is a full-volume data product of NASDAQ, covering trade and sale information at different prices and showing the depth of the order book. The data include not only securities traded in NASDAQ, but also information on transactions related to shares listed on NYU and United States regional exchanges.
Pyth Data Marketplace is a data distribution platform for block chain networks, financial applications and software developers. After NASDAQ has placed TotalView on this platform, the data use scene will be extended to cloud software and chain applications from the traditional walk-in terminals and special data channels.
Available for in-depth analysis and implementation optimization
TotalView, in addition to providing a complete order book, contains Net Order Imbalance Indicator from NASDAQ. This indicator can show a trade-off imbalance in real time before opening and closing the bidding.
Pyth indicated that developers and institutional users could use the data set to analyse market depth, optimize transaction execution and build quantitative transaction models. For chain-based financial applications, this means more high-frequency, more nuanced, traditional market data that begin to be programmed through block-chain-related infrastructure.
Traditional finance accelerates access chain infrastructure
This cooperation also reflects how Wall Street agencies are adjusting the distribution of market infrastructure. As more financial companies attempt to migrate transaction, settlement and asset services to the block chain track, traditional data service providers are simultaneously changing the path of data to customers.
Currently, in addition to NASDAQ, institutions such as Tradeweb, Singapore Exchange, OTP Markets, Kalshi and the United States Department of Commerce have published data through Pyth Data Marketplace. The current accession of NASDAQ further demonstrates that the link between traditional finance and the financial services chain is deepening.
