The data provided by the chain data company Nansen to CoinDesk shows that, since its release in January 2025, there has been a significant loss for the purchasers of TRUMP. The data also show that the purchasers of World Liberty Financial (WLFI), associated with the Trump family, are also mostly in a loss position.
Nearly two-thirds of the wallets are in loss.
Nansen Statistics states that out of 1.48 million wallets purchased with TRUMP, 98.89 million are currently in deficit, about two thirds of the total. The total loss of this portion of the wallet was $3.81 billion.
In contrast, there are approximately 49.23 million wallets in a profitable state, with a combined surplus of $4.04 billion. The profits are concentrated in a small number of low-priced addresses purchased at the beginning of the issue. At that time, the token price was less than US$ 1 and then rose to almost US$ 75 within two days.
The net balance of the total wallets was approximately $236 million. This means that most of the proceeds were taken away by the early participants, while the major losses were borne by subsequent retail users who bought them at a high level.
The price of the token has fallen at 96%.
TRUMP currently has a transaction price of about US$ 1.79, with a higher point of return of about 96 per cent. Its market value now stands at about $425 million, while at one point in January 2025 it was close to $15 billion.
According to Nansen, there are still approximately 72.2 million wallets in possession of the token, with a total associated hold value of approximately $465 million. Since its issuance, some $71 billion worth has been flowing over that token.
The article also mentions that, with the overall weakness of the encryption market in the first half of 2026, the losses of TRUMP have widened. Bitcoin has also fallen significantly higher than before, and market risk tends to cool simultaneously.
WLFI. Second-tier market buyers are mostly covered.
World Liberty Financial, associated with the Trump family, uses different distribution structures. WLFI ' s first sale of tokens was valued at US$0.015 and US$0.05 for the public. The token was not opened for transfer until 1 September 2025.
On the day of the opening of the second-level transaction, the WLFI opening price was approximately US$ 0.29, rising to US$ 0.33. Of the 26.7 million secondary market wallets that Nansen tracked, 22.7 million were in deficit, about 85 per cent, with a combined loss of approximately $83 million; the profit component was approximately $23 million.
At present, the WLFI price is about $0.056, with the higher point falling by over 80 per cent and the market value is about $1.8 billion. It is important to note that 24.17 million wallets involved in the issuance of tokens are not included in this set of secondary market earnings and losses statistics.
