TeraWulf ' s latest disclosure indicates that the company, which was originally a bitcoin miner, is further shifting its focus to AI infrastructure. The company has signed a 20-year lease with Anthropic for a customized data centre campus in Hawesville, Kentucky, which is expected to generate approximately $19 billion in revenue.
401 MW garden phase transport
According to company disclosures, Anthropic will enter the Justified Data Park in TerraWulf, Kentucky. The park is ultimately expected to support approximately 401 MW of computing capacity.
The first phase of the project is planned to be shipped in the second half of 2027 and the entire campus is expected to be fully operational by early 2028. TeraWulf states that the lease is expected to receive investment-grade credit support.
Anthropic is the developer of Claude chat robots. As the demand for computing power and power continues to rise in large model training, AI is fast-tracking long-term power resources and data centre capacity, and TeraWulf is expanding its AI infrastructure layout.
Sale of joint venture equity in Texas
In addition to the new lease, TeraWulf agreed to sell its 50.1 per cent share in Abernathy Jordan Venture. The project is located in Texas and was developed jointly by TeraWulf and Fluidstack.
The buyer argued for the investor consortium led by Fluidstack. When the transaction is completed, Fluidstack will take over the lead on the project. TeraWulf states that the deal would have cashed some $450 million of the company ' s previous investments, with a transaction price higher than the capital invested.
The mining stock is rising early Monday.
As a result of the above-mentioned information, the mining stock of Bitcoin grew at a much higher rate than the morning drive on Monday, with TeraWulf and IREN at the top. Market reactions indicate that investors are focusing more on the re-pricing space of mining companies in AI data centres and power assets than on traditional mining operations.
According to the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of TerraWulf, Paul Prager, when the company announced its acquisition of the Justified Data campus in February this year, investors were told that a large client was expected to be targeted around the end of the second quarter of 2026. This announcement means that the relevant documents and transaction processes have been completed.
- Lease duration: 20 years
- Park capacity: approximately 401 MW
- Expected income: approximately $19 billion
Additional information:TeraWulf, based in Maryland County, has continued in recent years to advance AI data centre operations in addition to mining in Bitcoin, reflecting the fact that mining companies are using electricity and infrastructure resources to access high-performance computing markets.
