Arkham data show that BlackRock transferred approximately 2,700 BTCs and 52,956 ETHs to Coinbase-related wallets with a total value of over $256 million. At the same time, two of their spot ETFs have been noted by the market for larger-scale outflows.
The size of the transfer raises concerns
The transfer involved approximately $169 million bitcoin and approximately $88.17 million in ETA. As funds flow to the trading platform, the market usually links such movements to subsequent trading arrangements.
However, chain transfers do not in themselves amount to immediate sales. It may also be hosting adjustments, rebalancing positions or internal fund management.
ETF Sync Emission
BlackRock's spot ETF ETHA released $86.07 million on June 23, which is the largest one this week. The spot bitcoin ETF IBIT outflows $182 million over the same period, also the largest single-day outflow this week.
One of these alone is not necessarily sufficient to indicate a weakening of market sentiment. However, there has been a marked increase in the attention paid by traders to the movement of subsequent funds as both data appear.
The market keeps staring at the flow of money.
At present, the market is still watching whether the transfer of the assets to Coinbase will further enter the transaction chain. What is more important for traders is whether or not funds continue to flow from ETF and institutional wallets to trading platforms.
