Binance is extending its operations from encrypted transactions to payments, stable currency and investment products. On the occasion of its ninth anniversary, corporate management expressed the wish of the Platform to integrate digital assets, open market investments and chain services at the same entry point, with a focus on cross-border payments and emerging market users.
Stable currency drives payment expansion
In an interview with a foreign source, Binance's current and derivative manager, Shunyet Jan, stated that the use of the stabilization currency was no longer limited to transactions. As more users use stable currency for transfers, receipts and consumption, the exchange also begins to extend to payment services.
Binance Research previously mentioned in its April report that Binance Pay has covered over 21 million businesses and has access to local payment systems such as Brazil Pix. The company is also continuing to expand its card service, with encryption cards linked to Mastercard in selected CIS markets in February this year.
Equity products incorporated into the platform system
In addition to encrypted asset transactions, Binance is accelerating the introduction of stock-related products this year. In its ninth anniversary update, the company stated that users were expected to switch digital assets, stabilize currency, open market investments, payments and service chains within the same platform.
- Direct stock holdings are about 30 days up to $1 billion.
- Cumulative transactions close to $3 billion.
- After the first month, 73% of transactions came from emerging markets.
bStocks extended chain stocks
Binance has also introduced bStocks to convert parts of the United States stock into chain assets. The first products include a monetized version of In Weida, Tesla, Circle, Mirange and Sandisk.
Such products may be traded 24 hours a day or can be transferred to supported self-care wallets. Binance stated that eligible users could also use these assets in supported DeFi applications. The company data show that bStocks went online 15 days later with assets of over $100 million.
Emerging market demand is stronger
According to Jan, such broader financial services are more in demand in emerging economies, as local users often have more difficulty accessing overseas investment channels and traditional banking services. Binance believes that the existing encryption infrastructure can help these users access additional payment and investment tools.
Binance Research previously estimated that, by 2031, encryption trading platforms could bring nearly 300 million new investors and about $2 trillion to the global stock market. In addition to Binance, Coinbase has proposed the direction of integrating transactions, borrowing and payments into financial super-applications.
