The company disclosed that the Satsuma shareholders had supported the sale of the remaining 668 bitcoin and cancelled the company ' s listing on the London Stock Exchange. This means that the British listed company's Bitcoin Treasury strategy is going to end.

More than 90 per cent of votes cast

According to the documents disclosed on Monday, over 90% of the voting shares supported the two resolutions. It is estimated that 668 bitcoins are to be sold at a value of approximately $43.5 million. As this part of the asset disposition advances, the company ' s digital asset treasury arrangement will be substantially liquidated.

Satsuma did not start with encryption. Formerly a small AI firm, TAO Alpha, then known as Satsuma, and hired Mark Moss as Chief Bitcoin Strategy Officer in August 2025 to switch to bitcoin as the company ' s treasury asset.

Ever raised £163.6 million.

In the same month that the company turned to the Bitcoin Treasury, Satsuma raised Pound163.6 million, or approximately $218 million, through reversible financing. This round of financing was led by ParaFi Capital, with the participation of Pantera Capital, Digital Currency Group and Kraken.

  • Direct investor input 1097 bitcoins
  • Corresponding replacement of approximately $97 million in cash
  • Transferable debt may require repayment or conversion to equity

It was sold last December.

By December 2025, Satsuma had begun to sell assets to maintain its solvency. The company sold 579 bitcoin at the time and received approximately Pound40 million to ensure sufficient cash to pay off reversible holders who did not choose to transfer shares at the end of the year.

If this Pound40 million is combined with the funds recovered from this proposed sale, the company ' s accumulated recovery capital is estimated to be between Pound66 million and Pound70 million, which is significantly lower than the initial Pound163.6 million raised.

General shareholders or pressure

In the order of distribution, the transferable holder is paid in preference to the ordinary equity holder, which means that the final shareholder share is likely to be further below the recovery scale described above. On a holding scale, Satsuma is still the second-largest Bitcoin Treasury company in the UK, after The Smarter Web Company, which holds 2878 bitcoins.
