At a time when a number of emerging investment agencies are still under pressure to raise funds, the New York investment agency Dimension Capital announced the completion of a three-phase fund-raising exercise of $800 million. The new fund is about 60 per cent larger than the $500 million two-phase fund released 18 months ago.

The Fund continues to expand.

According to the latest results of the fund-raising exercise, this judgement is being implemented more quickly. This new fund also reflects the fact that the direction of deep-scientific and AI scientific applications can still attract large amounts of capital for the still-diversified windfall market.

The project is focused on AI pharmaceuticals

In 2024, Dimension Capital co-sponsored Chai Discovery's $30 million seed wheel. It has developed an open source AI basic model for drug research and development.

Chai Discovery announced the completion of $400 million in financing last week, with an estimated value of $3.8 billion. Dimension Capital has also been involved in the A Round Finance, which New Limited completed in January 2025.

Rapid increase in the valuation of investment cases

Earlier this month, New Limited completed the C round of finance, valued at $3.1 billion. One of the co-founders of the company is Brian Armstrong, Chief Executive Officer of Coinbase.

From the cases disclosed, the focus of Dimension Capital ' s investments is on the direction of AI ' s integration with the life sciences, in particular drug research and development and biotechnology tools. As the valuation of related companies continues to rise, these items, which combine scientific attributes and computing capacity needs, remain the focus of the first-level market.
