The strategic rhythm difference between the U.S. and U.S.-closed talks without substantive results

On 29 July, United States President Trump met with visiting Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu at the White House on 28 local time, the first face-to-face meeting between the leaders of the two countries since the escalation of the United States-Iraq conflict this year. Although the United States has officially called the talks “positive” and “productive”, the most significant feature of the meeting, in terms of both public information and the details disclosed by the media in both countries, is the absence of concrete results and the further emergence of strategic differences between the United States and its approach to the situation in the Middle East.
