SpaceX got a $1.6 billion contract with the United States Air Force

On 30 July, the United States Air Force announced on 29 July local time that Space Exploration Technologies (SpaceX) had recently obtained a $1.6 billion contract to launch 18 Falcon 9 rocket missions to launch military satellites to detect and track aerial targets by the end of 2027. (observed)
