THREE STAR ELECTRONICS WILL INVEST 800 BILLION WON IN SEMICONDUCTORS AND DX START-UPS
On July 30th, Samsung Electronics disclosed that it would fund a total of 80 billion won of potential technology reserves in the DX sector for semiconductor start-up and finished business. The relevant funds are used to generate technical and operational cooperation through domestic and foreign investment in start-up enterprise equity in the semiconductor sector. Of these, Samsung Electronics will contribute 50.5 billion won to the new technology business portfolio that it has set up, SVIC 82, with three stars investing 5 billion won. The portfolio was added next month for a period of 13 years and was paid in instalments when investment projects occurred. Samsung Electronics will also contribute 30,3 billion won with Samsung Venture Investment to its new technology portfolio, SVIC 83, with three billion won invested by Samsung. The portfolio is used for future technological discovery and business competitiveness enhancement in the DX sector, with a 10-year life span and a bulk contribution when investment projects occur。
