National Development and Reform Commission: high growth of over 30 per cent in artificial intelligence-related industries in the first half of the year
On 31 July, this morning, the National Commission for Development and Reform held a July press conference. The Press Speaker of the National Commission for Development and Reform stated that, in the first half of the year, the pace of self-innovation of artificial intelligence accelerated and a rapid breakthrough was achieved across the entire industrial chain. The Director of the Policy Research Unit of the National Commission for Development and Reform (CNRD), Jiang Yi, the news spokesman, said that the first 100 000 carats of artificial intelligence had been officially put into operation, and that by the end of June the country had reached 2.8 times the size of the same period last year. Element flows are dynamic, with more than 120,000 high-quality data sets being built, accelerating the formation of a virtuous cycle of power, models and data mutually reinforcing. Co-led by all, artificial intelligence has become a driving force for economic growth, with high growth of more than 30 per cent in related sectors. The next step will be to accelerate autonomous innovation, to strengthen basic research and technological innovation, and to accelerate open data sharing and the construction of artificially intelligent language materials.
