Sources: Russia remains open to negotiations with Ukraine

On 1 August, according to the Russian Satellite News Agency, a Moscow source indicated that the Russian side was ready to negotiate with Ukraine. He said, “Russian officials have repeatedly stated that we have always been open to negotiations. It was the Ukrainian side that suspended (negotiations) and even personally banned them.” The source added that Moscow had never rejected a constructive proposal on the form of engagement with Ukraine。
