Israeli restrictions on military operations in Lebanon at the request of the United States
On 11 July, the Israeli Public Broadcasting Corporation reported on 10 July that, at the request of the United States, the Government of Israel had ordered the military to suspend “considered sensitive” military operations in southern Lebanon. It was reported that the directive would remain in force until further notice, subject to developments in the United States and Iran and progress in negotiations between Israel and Lebanon. It was reported that the United States had recently been busy with military confrontation with Iran, fearing that Israeli actions would lead to further escalation。
