Hashdex will sell 225 BTCs of bitcoin ETF DEFI under the flag of liquidation
On 4 August, the encrypted asset management firm Hashdex indicated that it would liquidate its current-name bitcoin exchange trading fund this month, distribute cash to all remaining shareholders and sell some 225 BTCs held by the fund. In its submission on Monday, Hashdex indicated that the decision was made after an assessment of such factors as transaction liquidity, operating costs and investor interest. Since March 2024, the Fund has traded in NYSE ARCA with the DEFI code, with a net assets of US$ 14.25 million in 200,000 shares. The Fund was originally launched as the Hashdex Bitcoin Futures ETF in 2022, with a maximum asset size of $1.754 million, which appeared on 9 May 2025. The United States-listed BTC ETF has a small population of WisdomTree Bitcoin Trust, with a net asset of $140 million at closing last Friday。
