Qatar: The parties that have drafted a text on a potential US-Iraq agreement are working to resolve the conflict through diplomatic means

On Tuesday, 4 August, Majed Al Ansari, spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, indicated that efforts were under way to find a diplomatic solution to the American-Iraq conflict. He noted that the facilitators, including Qatar, Pakistan and Oman, were closely coordinating to facilitate negotiations and exchange of drafts between the parties. He stated that it was now important to resume negotiations as soon as possible. It was also reported that the Qatari side had indicated that a text had been drafted on a possible American-Israeli agreement and that a draft of a potential American-Israeli agreement was being circulated among the parties. However, the Qatari side also indicated that there was currently no established agenda for direct negotiations between the United States and Iran. Kim Xian
