MEDIA: THE WHITE HOUSE DOES NOT PLAN TO DISCLOSE THE DETAILS OF THE ADVANCED AI MODEL EVALUATION FRAMEWORK

On 5 August, according to Axios, three sources of information about the discussions indicated that the White House did not plan to publish its new framework for assessing advanced artificial intelligence models, and that details would be provided only to the enterprises involved in the process. Enterprises, policymakers, researchers and United States allies who are not involved in the process will be unable to understand how the Government plans to implement one of its key artificial intelligence policies. The White House held a staff-level meeting with industry representatives on Tuesday to discuss the recently completed framework. Enterprises that were not invited to the meeting were still unaware of the content of the framework and it was not clear which “credible partners” would receive advance access to the advanced model under the framework, including the eligibility of foreign Governments. Informed sources disclosed that open source models were discussed but no further details were disclosed. According to the source, employees of the NVDA.O participated in the meetings。
