Circle CFO: There is no plan to launch a quarterly bonus

On 6 August, Jeremy Fox-Geen, Chief Finance Officer of Circle, responded to a question about “Is there a Quarterly Red Cross Plan in the near future”: “No, we do not have it. Allow me to say in the context that, as the world evolves from traditional systems to new Internet-based financial services based on block-chain technology, we are facing great opportunities to become leading Internet platform enterprises. As we have always stressed, we want to maintain a strong balance sheet to ensure that, regardless of the fluctuations in the market cycle, we can sustain our investments around this opportunity, while also allowing us to be able to take advantage of them when major opportunities arise. We therefore firmly believe that it is the right approach to retain a robust balance sheet, and we believe that the return on investing funds in the platform to shareholders is much higher than the quarterly dividends issued. Jeremy Fox-Geen added: “We are essentially a growing stock with a high potential for future market growth, rather than a capital-reciprocated stock that is repurchased or distributed to shareholders at this stage.”
