MetaMask officially goes online, Agent Wallet, supports the AI agent's own execution chain
On 7 August, MetaMask announced that it was officially on line to provide a self-hosting AI proxy wallet for traders and developers. The user can connect to proxy frameworks such as Claude Code, Codex, OpenClaw and allow the agent to operate on the chain within the default rules. Agent Wallet supports Hyperliquid and Robinwood Chain, Monad and other EVM chains. The agent may also carry out ERC-7821 bulk exchange and one-time transactions without holding the original currency of the chain to pay Gas, MetaMask may settle the network costs from the transferred assets. MetaMask will provide transaction simulations, threat scans and MEV protection before supporting EVM transactions are executed. Eligible transactions that continue to cause losses as a result of the relevant security checks are protected by transactions up to $10,000 per month. MetaMask states that the core of Agent Wallet is to allow AI agents to carry out transactions within the user-defined authorized boundaries, rather than to obtain unrestricted wallet access。
