KNOWER: SK HERCULES HAS PURCHASED SOME $7 TO $28 BILLION IN KOREAN BONDS THIS YEAR

According to information from sources on August 7, SK Hynix has accumulated some 10 trillion to 40 trillion won (about $7 billion to $28 billion) in Korean bond assets this year, with high-end estimates including commercial paper. By the end of the second quarter of this year, the cash and cash equivalents of SK Hercules amounted to 88 trillion won, an increase of nearly 62 per cent over the previous quarter. According to the source, since April this year, SK Hercules has been expanding his bond investment, usually on a single order of between 100 billion and 30 billion won, with the main allocation of investment-grade bonds above AA for a period of not more than three years.
