The Moscow Securities and Exchange Platform plans to launch a digital asset hosting system, which is expected to be online by the end of 2026 or early 2027

On 7 August, according to information received, the Moscow Securities Exchange Platform (MOEX) is preparing to launch a digital hosting system for encrypted assets (DMP), which has been confirmed by a number of voucher traders and those close to the Moscow Exchange Platform. The digital hosting system will not be based on the existing trading platform structure, nor will it be incorporated into the Russian State Clearing House (NSD), but will operate as an independent infrastructure. The specific model is still under discussion, and in the future Russia ' s legitimate encrypted market may form multiple digital asset liquidity centres, including the Moscow trading platform and the flagship platform of large financial institutions. According to sources, the digital hosting system is expected to be launched by the end of 2026 or early 2027. Previously, several large Russian banks, including the Savings Bank of the Russian Federation (Sber), the Russian Foreign Trade Bank (VTB), T-Bank and Alfa-Bank, had announced plans to build a digital asset hosting infrastructure. According to the plan, each voucher client will have an anonymous account in the digital hosting system, which is in essence similar to the wallet address on the chain used to record the investors ' encrypted assets. Some market participants plan to carry out encrypted asset transactions only through their own hosting systems, while others are considering a hybrid model of " platform trading, digital hosting of banks or vouchers"。
