15 YEARS OF SLEEP
On 7 August, a long asleep bitcoin wallet turned close to 50 BTCs on Thursday, valued at approximately $3.2 million. The wallet received 49.97 BTCs in 2011, at a time when the trade price was approximately $10. These BTCs were sent to a SegWit address, which had previously been transferred to the agency broker FalconX in bitcoin and received funds from wallets related to Nexi and Prime Trust. Newly transferred BTC has not yet left the address. The transfer took place in the context of a re-check of old storage settings by long-term holders following a major breach attack on the Coldcard hardware wallet. There is no evidence that the 2011 wallet was linked to the loophole。
