The July non-farm employment report of the United States will be released tonight at 2030
The July non-farm employment report, to be published by the United States Bureau of Labor Statistics at 20:30 Beijing time, is becoming an important reference point for the market to judge future Federal Reserve interest rate policies. Owing to the large gap between Wall Street agencies ' projections of new employment, investors are preparing for market fluctuations following data release. According to the Dow Jones survey, economists expect, on average, an increase of 83,000 in non-farm employment in July, with unemployment at 4.2 per cent. The Bank of the United States expects about 80,000 new jobs, while the Spearhead Group expects employment to grow by only 18,000. Such a broad projection reflects inconsistent signals from the current United States labour market. Marketers believe that there may be significant fluctuations in equities, bonds and the United States dollar market if final data deviate from expectations。
