Morgan Chase's up-to-date science and technology debt release is expected to reach more than $500 billion this year
On 8 August, Chase Morgan predicted that the size of the technology-related corporate bond issue would exceed $500 billion this year. The Bank is expected to increase the level of debt issuance in the science and technology, media and telecommunications sectors in 2026 from $450 billion previously to $54 billion, on the grounds that increased spending by large science and technology enterprises is leading the artificial smart investment cycle. In a report on Friday, the team led by Erica Spier, a Morgan Chase strategist, concluded that chip-supported financing would become the “next major frontier area” in support of AI infrastructure development, which could “expand to trillions of dollars” by the end of the decade. Chase Morgan has identified seven funding opportunities for investment-level data centres in addition to the six projects currently completed, four of which are expected to come from Oracle and OpenAI. The Bank expects that Meta Platforms will return to the bond market after the third quarter of the financial report, while Microsoft is considered to be the “largest uncertainty” and may finance bond investors for the first time since 2017。
